Shipping & Export Terms

Last Updated: September 30, 2026

BLS Hardware supplies sofa hardware and furniture hardware to furniture manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, and other B2B buyers internationally.

These Shipping & Export Terms explain the general principles applicable to international shipments. The final shipping arrangements for each order will be confirmed in the quotation, proforma invoice, purchase order, sales contract, or other applicable commercial documents.

1. International Orders

BLS Hardware accepts international B2B inquiries and supplies products for export markets.

Before production or shipment, the buyer and BLS Hardware should confirm the applicable:

  • Product specifications
  • Quantities
  • Packaging requirements
  • Shipping destination
  • Shipping method
  • Required export documentation
  • Commercial terms
  • Payment terms
  • Delivery arrangements

The final terms agreed for a specific order take precedence over general information on this page.

2. Shipping Methods

Depending on the order, destination, quantity, product dimensions, and buyer requirements, shipments may be arranged by:

  • Express
  • Air freight
  • Sea freight
  • Other commercially agreed transportation methods

The appropriate shipping method should be confirmed before shipment.

3. Freight and Delivery Costs

International freight, insurance, customs duties, import taxes, customs clearance charges, destination handling fees, and other destination-related costs depend on the shipment and destination.

Unless specifically included in the agreed commercial terms, such costs may be the responsibility of the buyer.

The quotation or commercial documents for each order should be used to determine the applicable shipping and cost responsibilities.

4. Export Documentation

Depending on the shipment and destination, export documentation may include commercial invoices, packing lists, shipping documents, and other documents required for the transaction.

Additional documents or certifications requested by the buyer should be discussed before order confirmation so that availability and applicable costs can be evaluated.

5. Customs and Import Requirements

The buyer is responsible for providing accurate destination information and for understanding applicable import requirements in the destination country.

Import duties, taxes, customs clearance requirements, product regulations, and other destination-country requirements may vary.

BLS Hardware does not assume responsibility for import requirements that are solely imposed by the buyer’s destination country unless expressly agreed in writing.

6. Packaging

Products will be packaged according to the agreed order requirements.

If the buyer requires special packaging, labeling, carton markings, palletization, barcode labels, or other packaging specifications, these requirements should be confirmed before production.

7. Delivery Time

Production and delivery timing depends on factors including product type, quantity, customization, production requirements, packaging, shipping method, and destination.

Any estimated production or shipping schedule provided by BLS Hardware should be treated as an order-specific estimate unless a firm delivery commitment is expressly agreed in writing.

8. Shipping Delays

International transportation may be affected by customs procedures, weather, port congestion, carrier schedules, holidays, regulatory changes, or other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the parties.

If a significant delay occurs, the parties should communicate and determine the appropriate next steps based on the specific order.

9. Inspection Before Shipment

Where inspection requirements are agreed, the buyer and BLS Hardware should confirm the inspection method, timing, sampling requirements, and acceptance criteria before shipment.

Any product specification or quality requirement that is important to the buyer should be confirmed in writing before production.

10. Product Specifications

The buyer should review and confirm product specifications before placing an order, including where applicable:

  • Product model
  • Dimensions
  • Material
  • Finish
  • Mounting requirements
  • Load or performance requirements
  • Packaging
  • Quantity
  • Customization requirements

For OEM/ODM projects, approved drawings, samples, specifications, or other written technical documents should be used as the basis for production.

11. Order-Specific Terms

These general Shipping & Export Terms do not replace the commercial terms agreed for an individual order.

If the quotation, proforma invoice, purchase order, sales contract, or other written agreement contains different shipping or delivery terms, the order-specific terms will govern that transaction.

12. Contact

For shipping, export, packaging, customs documentation, or delivery questions, please contact BLS Hardware before placing an order so the requirements can be reviewed for the specific shipment.
